I am searching for a new (female) roommate as my previous roommate graduated and has moved on. The place is a 2 bedroom/1 bath duplex with basement and is fully furnished except for the second bedroom (pictured with former roommate’s pull-out couch). It’s about a 25 minute walk downtown and a 10 minute walk to the nature trail in Eberwhite Woods. It’s in a safe location, and I’ve been working on the backyard landscaping this year so it’s a pretty nice place to hang out!

Details: -current rent is $1000/month ($500 per person) -bedroom is about 9 ft x 10 ft -basement space for storage -laundry in basement -we pay DTE, internet, and water so total costs including rent range from $590-$680 depending on the month (on the higher end with the water bill every 3 months)

I am a 32 year old kindergarten teacher and am teaching from home this year (my setup is in the basement). I enjoy gardening, hiking, sewing, baking, TV, and board games. I’m pretty quiet/low-key and I like to keep things clean and uncluttered. I have a trio of people-loving rabbits who stay in a pen in my room when I’m gone and hang out in the pen/living room when I’m home (like a dog or cat). I also have a canary. That being said, we are full up on pets here! :)

No smoking/vaping (even outside) as I am asthmatic. Speaking of asthma, it puts me at higher risk for Covid so we would have to be in firm agreement about Covid safety procedures. I always wear a mask when going anywhere with other people and try to limit my shopping trips to reduce exposure. I social distance and don’t go inside anyone’s houses (except my friend who lives nearby and has the same safety measures as me), and I don’t have visitors over here. If this sounds unreasonable to you, this probably won’t be a good fit. LGBTQ+ friendly, BLM.
