The exterior of the building will be redone as well as the entrance/stairs leading to apartment.
Cozy LARGE ROOM FOR RENT Lovely atmosphere in apartment, great sun and good vibe and great size – even big enough for a King-sized bed. It is on the large size and currently has a queen bed, dresser, end tables and other accessories. There is a double closet, with side to side upper shelf. The room faces the side street which is more quiet than the front. There is a standard ceiling light fixture, wood blended floors and curtains. Only one person has lived here and is moving for work/family. Furniture available for purchase if needed (Queen bed, platform frame, two round end tables, a small plastic 3-drawer storage unit and an oak bookcase – all for sale at ridiculously cheap pricing). Roomies work hard and need a respectable, quiet non-smoking roomie (though you can smoke right outside - there’s a small parking lot behind the building and costs $100 per month if you want to park your car there). Must be clean and mindful of maintaining the cleanliness of the apartment, particularly the bathroom and kitchen. Please be considerate with no boundary issues. Additional cost for home supplies, WIFI and G&E is varies per month, depending upon usage and supply needs, and of course, you will chip in with the other roomies to save $. The apartment is serviced by Verizon Internet & PSE&G utilities. The landlord provides insurance for the apartment.
About the Neighborhood: Jersey City Heights is a mixture of all races, predominately South Americans and White Americans with many Indians, and a smaller mix of African Americans and Chinese. It’s a nice area, busy traffic during rush hour, but quiet at night. Charming Central Avenue is a few blocks down off the main JFK Blvd drag, with plenty of shopping and great eateries. The Journal Square Area is a 6 minute bus ride (or a 20 block walk) with plenty of shopping there as well as the Path train and other buses to various Jersey locations). Leonard Park is 6 block walk away to chill, get sun, go jogging or to sit on the grass and read a book. Travel to Port Authority is across the street and on a good day, you arrive at the terminal in 30 minutes or less by the Community Vans or the Jersey Transit Buses (fare is $3.50-4.00 each way). There are buses to Bergen Avenue, Secaucus, Union City and other areas as well. It’s a nice neighborhood with a suburban feel, plenty of families and dogs, but with also a busy city vibe and plenty of bodegas.
