North Wolcott Avenue

Hi guys!

My (ex) boyfriend is moving out of my apartment, but I love it and I don’t want to give it up, so looking for a fun, chill, responsible, female, roommate so I can stay in this rad spot! I’m looking for a May 1 move in through August with the possibility of renewal.

The apartment: -1300 square feet -2BR/1 Bath -huge kitchen with lots of storage -2 large living rooms -bonus room (makeup room) -shared patio, table, chairs, and grill (I swear no one has ever used this patio but me. Big enough for bar-b-ques, lawn games, or plants). -closest intersection is Division and Damen -shared hall closet AND huge pantry off the kitchen that I’m using for hardware, tools, crafting supplies/cleaning supplies

• 10 minute walk from either Division or Damen blue line stop -2 minute walk from Division, Milwaukee, OR Damen bars/stores, but far enough away so that you don’t hear any of that noise or the blue line (Seriously, this is the best location, no complaints) -Hardwood floors in all rooms except kitchen (only downside of this apartment is the linoleum on the kitchen fooors, hence the area rug). -12’ ceilings -lots of light, HUGE, and OPEN -vintage charm: built ins, (non-working) gas fireplace with tile mosaic, carved wooden accents in the borders, new lighting fixtures with vintage looking plates. -in building washer/dryer -DISHWASHER!! -7-10 minute walk from Jewel, 5 minute walk from Walgreens. -utilities: $50/person for wifi and basic cable (I don’t only have Netflix and Amazon prime, but if you want to get cable, that’s cool), and the median cost of electric is $25/person (amazing). The building holds heat really well, no drafty windows or doors. In the fall and spring your electric will be about $15/person. -420 friendly, no other drugs permitted. -landlord says no dogs 😫, but you’re welcome to put dog pictures up so that we can pretend. -this place is HUGE and super open/happy

Your room: 1 window Large enough for a queen bed, bed side table, and 1-2 dressers -closets are kind of small, but I have a ton of clothes and was able to make it work. -currently using your new bedroom as storage, so the pictures aren’t the best, but I included pictures of my bedroom so that you can see how much space there will be and how I was able to maximize storage space.

Me: I’m 27 and work at a corporate freight brokerage M-F 7-5PM, BUT I hate corporate and treasure my free time so that I can let loose my inner creative. I went to U of I and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing and am in the process of getting back to school to teach art. I will have a metalsmithing bench set up in the living room, but you’re welcome to set up your own art desk too! I won’t be hammering late at night or anything like that.

So that you know what kind of person I am…

Last books read: The Handmaid’s Tale, Difficult Women, and The Underground Railroad. I’m in 2 book clubs, don’t judge me.

-Music: Wet, Tegan and Sara, The Used (sorry bout it), Sylvan Esso, 90s. -Movies: Donnie Darko, American History X, Primal Fear, Amy, American Beauty, documentaries, Netflix dark hole.

-in my free time, I’m on a soccer league, I read, craft a LOT, metalsmith, stalking dog parks, and explore the unknown.

Looking for: Female roommate 24-34 Pays on time Easy to get along with -not “clubby” -not a psycho -no hard drugs -is a dog lover even though we can’t have a dog.. it’s just a personality thing -someone who is okay with me having girlfriends over every once in a while -likes cheese -respectful -likes house hunters -drinks barefoot
