Amanda's room

About the apt: The Meadowlark apartments are right around the corner from Cal State San Marcos, and down the street from University of St. Augustine, at a much more affordable price. Small community. I think there’s only 60 units on the property and there’s a pool. We split the wifi, water and electricity 50/50. The WiFi is 150mbs and it $70 a month. Water is usually around $50. and electricity varies but lately its been around $40. so adds up to about ~$80 per person for utilities. Also, my car is parked in the designated parking for this apt number but there’s plenty of extra parking with no shade on top that’s available for the residents here. There’s also visitor parking in the back of the apartment complex for when you have company over

About the room: It’s the smaller of the 2 bedrooms and is 9’1“ by 9’3“ but has a decent sized closet with a storage shelf on top. The room is UNfurnished but I included pictures of my current roomie’s setup to give you an idea of size and proportion. There’s one big AC in the living room kitchen area that makes it cool but not gonna lie, the rooms can get a little warm in the summer towards the afternoon. I just need someone who’s as busy with school or work as I am. And who can clean up after themselves. I would love to make a new friend and not just have a roommate:)

I’m Amanda and I am in year 2 of my masters program at the University of St. Augustine. I have an 11-year-old,friendly one-eyed pug who will be our roommate. I’m easygoing and so is my doggo. I went to UCR for undergrad, joined peace corps from 2014-2016 and now I’m here :)I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 5 years and she will visit often, as the goal is for her to move in once she finds a job In the area. But as of now, she’s back in San Bernardino and I am here for school. We’re both people who study hard and play hard. I’m always down to share a beer with my roommates or play some video games. I’m clean and I love to cook. Most of my time is consumed with grad school, but some of my hobbies (Pre-COVID) include rock climbing, going to concerts, painting, and trying some new local breweries. If you’re interested let me know. Wednesdays and Fridays are hectic for me but I’m available almost every other day.
