April 1 - August 31 (5 month) sublet

Hi! We’re looking to fill the third spot in our 3-bedroom apartment beginning April 1. The room comes with a full bed and desk. It gets terrific sunlight, has a ceiling fan as well as decent closet space.

We’re a second floor walk-up and there is coin laundry in the basement. Dishwasher is in the kitchen. Utilities include Internet, gas and electric. We also have plenty of free street parking (which is awesome).

We’re located in Bucktown - safe, quite, plenty to do (near 6 corners), near the blue line (both Damen and Western stops). Big Star, Violet Hour, Margie’s, The Robey, Small Cheval, Stan’s Donuts, Mindy’s Hot Chocolate, the 606 bike path etc. all are within walking distance.

We are both professionals in our 30’s and 40’s and have a respectful, friendly and low-key vibe in the apartment.

We are looking for someone who is easygoing, quiet, considerate of others, accountable, cleans up after themselves and keeps the common areas clean (do what you want in your room as long as its hygienic and doesn’t attract bugs), is proactive about cleaning the apt (vacuuming, scrubbing the tub - all the fun stuff :)), as well as contributing to paying for household items.

In short, someone who has a mature, practical and giving approach to living with others. Also goes without saying that you pay your rent/bills on time, and have a steady income.

Some of our no’s:

• No one working entirely from home - remote days are normal of course, but you should have a job to go to most days of the week.

• We’re open to goldfish, otherwise no pets

• We’re social and like to party outside the apartment - but no house parties. We have occasional guests of course, but this isn’t the ideal place for frequent visitors - e.g. for a SO to come over and chill every week.

• No students or recent college grads.

• No hard drugs - or any other activity that could result in a SWAT team converging on our home.

• No high maintenance personalities or drama.

First month and security (one and half month’s rent) needed to move in.
