Paul's room

Hi, my name is Paul and I am currently looking to rent out a spacious bedroom in my 2BR apartment. For the past few years I have rented the room out on Airbnb but now I am looking for someone who would like the room for a longer term basis. The apartment is located right behind the Delmar Loop in University City(just a 30 second walk to coffee shops, restaurants, etc.) This is a large first floor unit with 2 bedrooms, an office, dining room, living room, full kitchen, bathroom, back porch area and the entire place is fully furnished. The large bedroom I am renting out is also fully furnished but if you want to clear the room out and move in all new stuff that is totally cool. Also, if you rent the room this will be your place as well as mine so if you have other furniture/decorations, etc to fill the unit as you prefer that’d be no prob at all. I will not have the renter sign an official lease. Instead I will either do a month to month situation or a 6 month lease with the option to stay longer, but we will work that out if it’s a good fit. Up front I would just ask for first month’s rent and security deposit. Besides rent the only other costs would be for utilities, which is electric, gas and internet, which usually in total comes to a little over $200, so you would pay about $100 in utilities. And the room is available to rent at the moment, so if you moved in before the 1st of a month we would just have you pay a prorated amount for the rest of the current month.

A little about me: I am from St. Louis but have lived in Chicago, NYC, Alaska and Denver. I moved back here about 10 years ago. I have worked for myself in video production for several years and recently I completed a feature length documentary about a homeless encampment which used to exist in downtown St. Louis. I am out a good amount either working, with friends, at a park, hiking, etc, and when I’m home i’m usually watching something or reading. I don’t drink or do drugs but I don’t mind at all if you drink. Although no drugs or parties allowed. I’m a pretty clean and laid back person so I’d be looking for someone similar.
