I have an opportunity to move into a larger 2 bed, 2 bath in my building; it opens directly onto the backyard and has its own deck/patio area, large kitchen, living room w/ gas fireplace, dining room, and sun room. I’m drooling! The room is carpeted and has a large closet - it’s very deep; you can fit a full dresser along one side. The bath is semi-private; it’s off the hall and would be the bathroom visitors use. More about the building: It’s a 5 unit building with a large shared backyard - great for gardening. The other tenants are lovely and the landlord is super responsive. We’re on a quiet street, in a great neighborhood; less than 5 min walk to Lake Merritt and Whole Foods, and an easy walk to 19th St BART. Parking is not included, but I’ve never had an issue with street parking.

I’m in my thirties, female, and work full time. I’m pretty laid back, but always down for a glass of wine post-work. I like hanging out with friends and having people over for dinner on occasion – I’m terrible about cooking for myself, but enjoy cooking when it’s more than just me. Other interests are travel, hiking, kayaking, yoga, movies, city explorations, amongst others. I’m looking for someone reliable, clean, friendly, and considerate, who wants to share a meal on occasion. Also, I love pets (my previous roommate had a cat). Landlord might request slightly higher security deposit for a pet. The space is ready to move in by July 15, potentially earlier. References requested.
