Berkshire Street

We are a couple looking for a housemate to share a beautiful 2bed/1.5bath/1office townhouse-style apartment near Kendall Square, very close to Donnelly Field. The total rent is $3250, split between the 3 of us. This apartment is a dream - in-unit washer/dryer, back patio area, dishwasher, hardwood floors, recently remodeled. We lucked out since a friend of ours currently lives in the landlord’s other apartment next door and knew it was being listed before anyone else! The landlord is currently a bit flexible on move-in. He is repainting the place and will have it available for move-in between August 1st and September 1st.

We would take one bedroom and the small office area, and the other bedroom would be all yours. We would share the common area (large living room/dining room area, kitchen, unfinished basement, 1.5 baths, outdoor patio). Utilities split 3 ways. Sean is super allergic to cats so no pets please (we think the landlord may allow dogs but don’t know about fees or anything yet so would prefer no pets).

Haley: 28 year old researcher with a biotech company. I love Halloween, hosting game nights, cooking, podcasts/audiobooks, and planning vacations! I am a pretty laid back person and am looking for a roommate who is open and friendly. I sleep like the dead so noise isn’t an issue for me. I have a side gig doing voiceovers so every once in a while I do need quiet for a short time but it’s super flexible.

Sean: 28 year old HR specialist working in a law office. I love pc gaming with friends, chess, being Haley’s co-host (i.e. making sure she doesn’t make a mess while cooking), and making dad jokes. I’m a bit more of a night owl with a normal 9-5 work schedule. I love being friendly and will chat with people any time of day. I can tell you lots funny stories from when I worked in higher ed.

We have been together for over 4 years and are pretty low on drama. We also realize moving in with a random couple can be weird, so we will be sure that it never feels like an “us against you” situation. Ask us anything else you’d like to know.
