A room with a big closet will be available for the summer and possibly the 2020/2021 USC school year.

• the room has a shared bathroom, rents for $850 per month and will be available May 26th

• utilities (DWP, gas, netflix, wifi), weekly house keeping, gardening and parking are included in rent

• the deposit is one month’s rent

There’s a very laid back vibe at the house, which is a comfortable, new construction that was finished in September 2016, about a 10min straight bike ride from campus.

The house has a cozy fireplace and central heating for the winter and central AC to stay cool in the summer, plenty of parking for everybody in the garage and in the back, many modern amenities and a cool tree in the backyard with an area to hang out outside.

Move in dates are flexible to accommodate everyone’s needs.

I am a graduate of Columbia College Chicago where I studied film and filmmaking for 3 years, and have moved to LA with the intention of becoming a career fiction and screenwriter. I’m 22 years old, grew up in Maryland, but have lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Chicago. I currently work at the California Science Center, employed by the King Tut Exhibition’s gift shop. I enjoy movies, writing, trains, crime stories, LOVE food and cooking and have an ongoing deal with housemates: if you buy groceries, I will cook them for you.

Kathy

My name is Kathy Pulupa, I am 21 years old and I am a rising senior at USC studying Latino studies and gender studies. I am writing my senior thesis this year and applying to PhD programs for American studies and my top choice is to attend USC for my PhD. I was born and raised in the San Fernando valley and have moved to LA when I started at USC and fallen in love with the vibrancy of the city. I travel a lot during the fall as I am constantly presenting my research on Queer Female Soccer players, at conferences all over the US. I am very focused and happy with what I study and I love traveling and love talking to people about their educational/career interests.

David

I’m originally from the Westwood area of Los Angeles. I moved to Chicago and attended the University of Chicago, studying cognitive/social neuroscience and early childhood development. I lived in Chicago for 10 years, primarily working in a neurosci research lab. I moved back to LA about a year ago, because I wanted to investigate different career paths (principally teaching). I currently work as a substitute teacher with an Australian company called Scoot. I’ve also decided to apply to medical school, and am studying for the MCAT. I’m really interested in motorcycles, particularly MotoGP, and can’t wait for my first track day in LA!

Jan, the landlord, is multilingual, has a master’s in IT and Electrical Engineering from The TUM in Munich, Germany, a music degree from Musicians Institute in Hollywood and is always happy to help. He lives and works out of his music recording studio only a few minutes away from the house, and loves wind, water and snow sports and traveling.
