Private room and private bath available for rent in newish (built 2015) townhouse in the up and coming Longfellow neighborhood of Oakland (right on the border with Emeryville). Available on June 1, 2020.

Location House is near MacArthur Blvd. and San Pablo Ave. Amenities include - Lanesplitter’s Pizza, Rob Ben’s, Monster Pho 2, Hip Hop Juice Box, Wally’s, Safeway, Arizmendi, Community Foods Market). Transit: 15 minute walk (5 min bike) to MacArthur BART, close to many AC Transit lines (72, 88, 36), and the EmeryGoRound. Features quick access to I-580, CA-24, and the W. Grand Ave entrance to I-80 (for SF commuters).

Room The room is 10’ x 11’ with a 2’ x 5’ closet with sliding mirror doors. It is on the first floor and is adjacent to a private full bath with large shower and mirrored cabinet

House The townhouse is a 3 bed/2.5 bath with one existing housemate (the third bedroom is left open as a guest room). The house was built in 2015, has hardwood flooring throughout, Nest thermostat, video intercom, and is in excellent condition. The common space is an open floor plan with a modern kitchen (gas range and oven, dishwasher) and living room with couches and a flat-screen TV and sound system. There is a small backyard with mature landscaping, patio, and gas grill.

Ideal Occupant: A person who is clean, responsible and respectful of privacy but also willing to engage with housemate.

Other Considerations: Utilities (electric, gas, water, and internet) are split two-ways and typically run $100 to $110/month. The house is directly across from I-580 so there is some highway noise (the construction of the house is solid so much of the noise is attenuated by the dual pane windows). Gated off-street parking available for additional fee. Dogs may be considered

The house is currently occupied by very easy-going, quiet female roommate who is a marketing professional. She also has a small, friendly dog.
