Recent graduate looking to relocate to DC (and surrounding areas) from Buffalo, NY for more career opportunities. I don't know anyone in the area, looking for other young people looking to start their professional lives/graduate school etc.
I live in Portsmouth, VA at the moment but will be getting a job at Washington Navy Yard in December/January. I have an emotional support/service dog, >9 lbs. We're both quiet and keep to ourselves. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to get this apartment/condo/townhome. Thank you.
Hi below is my information as well as my preferences. Im a college student so my priority will always be price, so please focus more about the rent, Deposit Cost, Terms/Length of the Lease, and available move in date in that order. other than that i am down for pretty much anything and can accommodate what ever rules you may have about cleanliness, smoking, drinking, etc. i firmly believe that roommates work out the best if we actually get to know each other but we don't have to hangout if we don't link like that. i will be in town on Jan 11th and free to look at the space on the 12th (Friday). please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks Toki Oluwa 21 years old Male Howard University Undergrad Preferences: 4-6 months, 1br 1ba
I am very considerate and clean. I also have a great personality and I enjoy laughing and making my roommates feel like family. I am very warm and good-natured. I am also patient and I work 10-12hr days so i am not around very often.
Hello! My name is toya and I am a 32yr old professional who is from NYC, but has lived in dc for 6 years now. I am clean and respectful of others property but I am also social and love to cook. My weekends are usually spent watching sports or catching up on a show with a glass of wine if I'm not out with friends. My new love is gardening, so I usually always keep some fresh herbs or veggies around. If the room is still available I would love to check it out. Thanks!
I am easy to get along with and always up for an adventure around the city. I’ve just moved here for my first job and am really looking to get to know the area and make some friends as well. I love to be sociable but also understand and value time alone to refresh. Currently watching The Office for the first time and am a pancake/waffle/cheese enthusiast. Final note, my partner an I are currently doing distance and occasionally he’ll come for the weekend. Most of the time we try to get a hotel to be out of the way but occasionally will stay home one night of the weekend. Please let me know if this will be ok as that is a deal breaker for me at the moment. Thanks :)
I'm private discreet low key professional. I work part-time for a small non profit in SE. Clean and neat and with friendly disposition. Originally from southern Maryland. Lived in the city on and off depending on my job. I Love DC. I like to attend sporting events.
I'm a young professional from Kansas City, MO (originally Chicago,IL) looking to make a career and location change. I have a background in biochemistry but am wanting to do something more related to public service/non-profit. This is a big leap for me but I'm ambitious and excited for new experiences. As a roommate: I like to cook but am good about keeping after my mess and minding my own space. Cleanliness and organization are things that I value and I know how to respect other people and their privacy. I don't smoke and have no pets that will be coming with me but am open to living with one. For fun: My first couple of months in D.C. will primarily be spent getting settled and figuring out life but in my free time I like to read, travel (money permitting), workout or do anything outside/physical, and some nightlife is always fun. I have a handful of close friends in the D.C. area but am looking to get out there and meet new people.
Just accepted a full time role at a company I was contracting with on G Street. I have a place in Baltimore that I plan to keep in the short term as I have a dog that similar to Baltimore will take me a bit to find the right place for both her and I. Mostly when I am home I cook, listen to music, read, study or watch movies during the week. My current thought is to be in DC Sunday night through Thursday, heading to Baltimore that night . I am open if this works our making it longer term.
To whom it may concern, My name is Brandon Flanagan, and I am I 25 years young. I keep to myself, not sure if that’s a “great” thing but I am never in the way. I am from Southern California and came out this way for school. I graduated from Howard University in 2015, and been living with my girlfriend since. As you can see, that didn’t pan out the way we planned so here I am. I have a full time, government job with Federal Student Aid and most of my days consist of work. I say all of this to say, I am a people’s person and easy to live with. I do smoke, so if that’s an issue I completely understand. I can smoke outdoors with no complaints. I do not have too many friends, so when it come so to having company over, that will rarely be an issue. Thank you for your consideration, I am looking for something ASAP. Thank you,

Hi, I am a young female graduate student from South Carolina and I will be doing summer research with the Navy. I’m looking for housing from May 1st- July 31st. I also have a an adorable little puppy. She is a mutt that was found on the side of the road. I love animals, cooking, exploring and being outdoors. I am very friendly and extremely clean. I tend to keep more to myself at first but then I open up. I have never been to DC so I am looking close to my internship. ~Amber
Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a recent graduate from Arizona. I work as a graphic designer for a digital marketing agency in Old Town, Alexandria and I'm looking to live either close to work or the southwest edge of D.C. Some of my hobbies include: going to concerts, yoga, reading, watching cartoons, running, and playing video games. I work a regular 9-5 schedule and often have plans after work so I typically come home around 7 or 8. However, I don't drink very often so you don't have to worry about me coming home trashed at midnight on a Wednesday, or even a Saturday! Overall I'm a relaxed, clean person so if you want a roommate that hangs out in the common space with you I'm down but if you also want to keep to yourself I'm cool with that too!
I will be an intern in the DC area, working 40+ hours a week. I am looking for a nice, clean room in a good neighborhood that is close to a train/bus station. I am a non-smoker, from Denver, CO, open-minded, love the outdoors and I'm easy going.
Hi, My name is Sam Jones. I am a late-20s male who works at a political advocacy group, and am now looking to find a place in early February on the green line to cut down on my commute to Navy Yard. I'm a clean roommate who can be independent, but am also looking for a place where I can be friendly and social with my roommates. I work pretty standard hours during the week. I am generally available on the weekends to look at the apartment, and could also do a week night if that works better for you. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more information from me, and I look forward to hopefully meeting with you soon. Thanks, Sam
Hi, my name is Phoebe and I am a recent graduate from the University of Arizona. I am currently living in Philadelphia but trying to move to DC by October 1st! I am a very relaxed roommate who does like to keep things clean, and also likes to have fun on the weekends! I do have a very small friendly dog named banana who is going to be living with me. I love doing yoga, baking, cooking, going to museums, concerts and hanging out with friends!
Hi there! I am moving to D.C. in January for a new job working on Capitol Hill. I am hoping that I can find a roommate that will want to go out into the city and explore. Some of the things I love most are movies, hikes, farmer's markets, wineries/breweries, the zoo, and museums! I generally keep my living space clean and never smoke.
I’m 24 and have a girlfriend that is 21, we are looking to rent as a couple. We both have stable jobs and are very easy going, clean and considerate people. Thank you, have a wonderful day!
I'm clean, mind my own business, and fairly quiet. I love the outdoors and going to the gym, and hope to join a mixed martial arts gym in D.C. I currently train in boxing and Muay Thai, and am interested in getting into BJJ. I love animals, but do not have any pets, and I'm a fairly decent cook.
I'm friendly, fun, and full of stories! I've been living in Washington DC for almost ten years. For most of that time I've been an active artist in the theater community as an actor and a playwright. I also work at the REI flagship store in NoMa because I have a great passion for the outdoors and wanted a stable job doing something that I love. When I'm not working on a script I am looking for something to do outside, so I spend most of my time either in my room or not home at all. But when I am around I am a friendly, laid back, positive person who loves to swap stories and share meals. As a roommate, I'm all about cooperation and balance. If you need to be up early, I'll call an early night as well or stay at my girlfriend's apartment. If you have to focus on work at home, I can work at a coffee shop somewhere nearby. If I go on a weekend camping trip, I will make anything I need to have done at home gets done the day before I leave. I never want to be the guy who gets in the way of someone else living their best life, and that's all I ask of anyone else in return. Favorite activities: theater, writing, hiking, camping, backpacking, cooking, reading, video games. Least favorite activities: road running, working at the customer service counter, riding the red line. Thank you for reading, and I hope you're having a great day :)
I work for a non-profit in educational programming and outreach and I'm looking to move into the city from the suburbs (I have been living in Rockville). I'm neat and clean and very chill to live with. I'm a big sports fan (mostly hockey and baseball!) and also an avid pop-culture consumer. I'm a history nerd and I like going on hikes on the weekends. I enjoy baking and would be so grateful to have housemates who will eat what I bake. I'm originally from a Maryland suburb of DC, but I've lived in LA, New York, and London (all for school).
To mention the basics, I am respectful of one's space, time, and property. I appreciate living in a clean and calm environment. I firmly believe and uphold that house duties should be shared equally. In-depth, I consider myself an ambivert. Some days I'm a social butterfly and other days I enjoy my solitude. I am adventurous, loves to travel, host friends, read books, bake goodies, and explore the city. Some of my friends would say that I don't know any strangers because I am always open to making new friends.
I'm a wonderful cook and love to keep a neat and clean living area. I'm a quiet person and at times will stay to myself, but I can socialize when needed.
Hello, My name is Miya, I am very nice and I very interested in your offer for the one bedroom! I was wondering if we could meet tomorrow or later this week, to talk more in person please? If so, that would be great because I could give you my part for the month of August on this Friday! I hope I hear from you soon. Talk to you,
I like to decorate! I am really just looking for a roommate, a professional or graduate, that is looking to save while living close to work/school.
