Hello,

I’m Hollis, a straight male. I grew up in Patterson, and later here in Modesto. My family/friends would describe me as easy-going, respectful, analytical, and responsible. On the weekends I like to do recreational reading, go for scenic walks/drives, or grab a bite of take out… but I mostly spend my time studying.

I am a part-time MJC student majoring in Social and Behavioral Science. I aim to complete my prerequisites and transfer to a university next Fall. My classes are all online via zoom. During the week, I’m usually in bed by 10:30 pm and up by 8 am. On the weekends, I’m usually in bed by 12 am and up by 10 am. Ideally, I will be home nights during the entire week.

I prefer my environment conducive for studying. I am open to the idea of roommates holding occasional small social gatherings - I would just like to know in advance. I am interested in getting to know each other; I’m not saying we have to be best friends but, I’m open to occasionally watching TV or something. I prefer to cook my own meals.

I like to keep common living spaces pretty clean. I do my dishes, and put away my stuff when I get home. I’m open to the idea of a (rotating) cleaning schedule to keep things organized. I also have a background in landscaping. If the property needs it, I’d gladly take on yard work; perhaps even for a discount in rent.

My monthly budget is between $700 (negotiable) and I’m looking to move in asap. I receive financial aid and work or that I intend to use. I am seeking to land a part-time day job soon to pay rent.
