Hi! I’m Matthew! I’m from Long Beach, but I’ve been living in Mar Vista for a few months now. My friends would describe me as funny, independent, easy-going, and caring. In my free time, I like to draw and paint, spend time with my friends and boyfriend usually at the park or beach, and cook/bake. I enjoy taking summer trips to beach houses or to go camping. One of my favorite places is called The Delta in northern California.

I’m currently working at Vons and my schedule is a bit unpredictable, as I’m new and it’s updated every 2 weeks. I tend to work midday shifts though and will be home by 11:30pm latest during the week if I am scheduled to close.

I am a social person, but I value my alone time too. I’m open to the idea of my roommates hosting small parties - I would just like to know about these ahead of time. I’m down to get to know each other and have fun together.

I like to keep common living spaces pretty clean. I do my dishes after I use them and put away my belongings. I’m open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized and clean.

My monthly budget is $1,400, and I’m looking to move in sometime during February. I would like my own bedroom, and I’m open to living with 1-2 other people. If the bedrooms are sized differently enough to justify different prices, I’m happy staying in the larger or smaller room.

Here are some quirks and relevant information: I’m sometimes overwhelmed by loud noises and I don’t like doors being slammed. I love listening to music and watching TV, but if it’s being played at a maximum volume, we might not be the best fit. I appreciate the overall volume to be kept down at night. I’m not a smoker, but I don’t mind living with smokers. I have a boyfriend and would probably like to have him over often.
