I am a late 25 (I’ll be 26 in November) year old black woman and LGBTQ+/LGBTQ+ friendly. I am looking to move in before the end of November.

I have two cats. One is 2 years old and neutered, the other is 1 year old and intact, though I will be getting him neutered as well soon. They are both ESAs (so no fees or pet restrictions), do not abuse carpet (I have a carpet shampooer for carpet upkeep), love to use their litter box, and neither engage in any unwelcome behaviors. I can provide my doctor’s paperwork for ESA verification upon request. My cats are super nervous around new people, so they’d most likely stay in my room or their cage, even if they’ve come to know you, unless no one is around.

I have a set schedule for work, 5.5 hours at $19/hr Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I’ll be bringing in a little under $1250 after taxes each month. Hours should be increasing soon when my company matches me to more clients.

I try to be as financially responsible as I can, but things happen, that’s why I put financial responsibilities ahead of material wants. However, rent and utilities always come first; the other finances (phone, auto loan) can be delayed without consequence if need be.

About me: I am trained in Applied Behavior Analysis and have two certifications (RBT&BCAT). I work with kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I commute to my client’s homes and get paid for the drive and mileage from client to client in addition to regular pay.

Due to my clients having ASD, I have to be EXTRA careful about getting sick. Even prior to COVID happening, I did my best to not even contract a flu. My clients and/or their families tend to have someone who is immunocompromised, so there are practices that I must abide by to keep myself and them safe. I wash my hands appropriately (CDC guidelines), I mask up appropriately (CDC guidelines), and I social distance appropriately (according to CDC guidelines!).

I am an extroverted introvert, so I’m a total homebody and I usually keep to myself, especially around new people. I’m 100% capable of socializing though, so I’m not a total shut in. I love arts and crafts, video games, board games, watching shows and movies, and cooking/baking. I haven’t been cooking meals lately due to only having to cook for myself, so if you ever want anything that I am making, I’m always down to share; I’m used to cooking for multiple people. I’m super flexible when sharing a household, so if anything that I do is bothersome, PLEASE let me know.

About my preferred housemate(s):

I am looking for a household that is financially responsible with the ability to communicate about finances if they will affect others in the household. I don’t smoke or drink, although I don’t mind if others do, as long as it is not overwhelming and they are conscious of the smells. Most food smells don’t bother me, so cook away. I understand that housemates’ lives do not revolve around the household, so I don’t have too many requirements on cleanliness. For me, it’s an issue if it restricts other’s use of shared living spaces, ie. kitchen and bathroom. I don’t mind children or pets; I love both!
