I have updated my listing…again. haha. Lots of movable parts in this process and I keep trying to be more specific (and sometimes less.)

UPDATE: There is a beautiful LAKE HOUSE in this area (Woodinville/Redmond/Duvall) and I would need a second roommate without cats (not allowed at this particular house). Any takers? Rent would be $1150 each. Happy to share info about the house if we seem like compatible (STRICTLY platonic) roommates. Email me some details about yourself! PS Bonus: I have a paddleboard I can share…perfect for a lakehouse. :)

MEANWHILE, BACK TO MY ORIGINAL LISTING:

WHY: There are lots of great houses to rent out there, so I’m looking for a like-minded housemate or 2 who’d like to find a house to rent together. (If this lake house doesn’t pan out, or you seem like too cool of a (platonic!) roommate to pass up, we could look for something else.) I also have enough furniture/decor/kitchen items/outdoor plants/stuff for a 1 BDR so it’s easier for me to move into an empty place with a new roommate (or more) than just into a place with a room for rent. Not impossible, but more probable.

LOCATION: Ideally in Woodinville, Redmond, Duvall area but open to other areas if the house is nice, especially if it has a fenced-in yard, or at least a large deck that can be gated somehow for the dog. He likes to hang out on my current deck and watch over the entire yard.

RENT: Hoping to pay at most $1100 per renter but prefer $7-800 each if we can swing it. I could go a little higher too, if we find a really great place.

ABOUT ME: I am a female, young-at-heart, respectful, health-conscious, non-smoker. I love to hike, travel, play music, cook, garden, and study languages. I’m responsible, college educated, liberal-minded, and non-religious, although I really appreciate Taoist and Buddhist philosophies. I’m very outgoing and love to socialize but also like my down time to recharge.

My plan is to get licensed in real estate and as a notary while I continue to work as a server at a successful venue. I am NOT a night owl; I’m usually home by 10:30-11 (midnight on Fri/Sat) and I’m up early to be out and about.

I’m fluent in French and Spanish, and have traveled throughout North and Central America, Europe, and Africa, and have lived in France, Costa Rica, and Mexico. I always find great affinity with fellow travelers, so bonus if you love to travel too!

I’m also a musician with a degree in music. I started studying classical violin and piano when I was 8 and continued to play violin and sing all through college. I grew up with private lessons, practicing, rehearsing, performing, and competing in orchestras, choirs, theatre, etc until my mid 20s. I now play guitar as well, and sang and played guitar in lots of restaurants and bars for a time. I’m now delving into French Gypsy Swing Jazz which fits nicely with my language skills. And because it’s so fun! (I.E. Avalon Jazz Band, and Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli)

HOUSEMATES: Looking for like-minded housemates who are mature, kind, respectful, fun, honest, neat, and responsible, with steady income and willing to undergo credit check and POSSIBLY put down first and last month deposit if necessary (depending on landlord.) Hoping to find (but not limited to) like-minded housemates who like to travel and get to the mountains to share some laughs and outdoor adventures, and hang out occasionally at the fire pit at the house if the space allows. But if that doesn’t happen I am very good at doing my own thing.

NON-SMOKER PREFERRED: definitely no smoking indoors, but smoking outdoors would be ok. Same for 420

CLEANLINESS: wanting a place where we all keep the common areas neat and tidy and maybe cook occasional meals together and/or host occasional dinner parties.

PETS: I have a dog, so MUST LOVE DOGS. :) Your dog or cat would be welcome as long as they all get along, you take good care of them, and you’re good about cleaning up after them. Neutered/spayed dogs only. (UPDATE: THIS LAKE HOUSE DOESN’T ALLOW CATS, so cats would be only an option if we found a different house.)

My dog is 9 years old and currently lives very amicably with 3 humans, 2 kitties and another dog. He likes to hike and paddleboard too. He gets long daily walks/hikes so he’s mellow in the house, is potty-trained, and never chews on anything. He will be your buddy if you let him.

FURNITURE AND STUFF: I have some furniture (including an extra double bed that you could use), lamps, wooden lanterns and rustic chic decor, plenty of kitchen items (dishes, pots, pans, Vitamix, juicer, etc), lots of books, a firepit, and a paddleboard. I have many outdoor potted plants I’m hoping to find room for too. I DO NOT HAVE A COUCH, so if you have one, great! But if you don’t I can get one. Your furniture + stuff obviously welcome too!
