Every roommate has advantages and disadvantages. The key, as with any relationship, is to find someone whose disadvantages don’t annoy you.

With that idea in mind, I’m going to be as honest as my own perspective allows. I have two adult sons and a daughter in law. I’m currently living in Rochester, WA but looking to move to Tacoma or Seattle to be closer to family.

I have a dog. This would be one of those advantage/disadvantage things I mentioned. Mojo, my dog, is a chiweenie. She is a service dog and warns me when I’m going to get a migraine. She’s 10 years old. She can take a minute to warm up to people, but a handful of chicken goes a long way with her.

I’m a 49 year old pansexual disabled female veteran. My pronouns are she/her. I’m single with no burning desire to be anything else. My disability does not require the use of any walking or standing assistance (so I don’t need any special housing accommodations).

I like the rain. I hate the sound of leaf blowers. I’m not a good liar because my expression always gives me away. I use cannabis for pain management. I’m not a big drinker, but I like the occasional glass of wine or Old Fashioned. I’m a homebody. I don’t squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom. I don’t smoke cigarettes anymore, but I do use a vape and I’m fine with vaping outside only. I’m a quiet person and an introvert. I’m funny. I like to cook.

I think that’s the big stuff. I wouldn’t mind living with any gender or age group. Before I retired and got on disability, I worked in IT and was also a paralegal.
