Babette

Hi there!

My name’s Babette, I’m 22 years old, and I’m from Barcelona, Spain. I’ll be taking an internship from September to January in Border Angels an NGO based in San Diego, CA. I’m currently looking for rooms so that I can already have an idea of the average monthly rent.

I consider myself open-minded and easy-going. I’m rather a bar person than a club person. Don’t take me wrong, I like a good fiesta, but it’d rather be chilling with my friends at a bar just drinking and talking, and having a good time. I also consider myself an active person, I usually go to places by bike. Also, I like dancing :) But don’t make me dance in front of you because then I get shy. I also like reading and love the sea!

I have previously lived with people from different places all over the world. Last year I shared an apartment with three girls from the US in Barcelona. I moved to Madrid from September to December to take an internship and the first month I shared the flat with a Portuguese, two French, a Venezuelan, and a Russian. I changed that flat because of living conditions and became flatmates with three girls from Chile and another Spaniard. I really enjoy such cultural diversity because it allows me to learn from different cultures. All the experiences have been positive, enriching, and would repeat them if it were possible. As far as everyone follows some logic housing rules (like shared spaces should be clean) everything’s fine!
