I am a California native, and lived in Santa Cruz County for 40 years. I was renting a studio from someone and stayed there for 18 years, until I moved to Texas to be near my son his wife and 4 grandchildren. I have been here 13 months and it is just not working out. I miss Santa Cruz and all my friends and wish to return. Although I am of the elderly, I am agile, funny, adaptable, current. I have a 10 year old lab mix named Charlie and we are out walking several times a day. I have worked in the medical field for eons, and have also done care-taking as main sources of income. I worked here in Texas at Costco as a food sampler until the Corona virus hit, which I will continue doing in Santa Cruz. I also had the privilege of writing columns for a local newspaper in Aptos before I moved here and hope to continue upon my return.
