My name is Matthew Walton. I moved to Boulder in July of this year from NH to live in the west again after attending CU back in the eighties. I work doing residential carpentry. My daughter has just started CU as a freshman studying astrophysics. I used to teach middle school science before starting carpentry about 22 years ago. I served in the Peace Corps in the mid nineties as a water and sanitation volunteer. I am married but my wife lives in VA helping her mother make a transition to a care facility. She will be there for at least the next year. We’ve owned our home for the last twenty years. Since moving to Boulder I have worked with Windhorse Community Services as a Housemate to a client with a disability. This position came with a room in a two bedroom apartment. The client is leaving the program which is the reason I am currently looking for a new place. I am a very tidy person that will keep the common areas clean. I am a respectful person that will care for the property and ensure my activities are not disruptive to the household. I also have a steady income with skills in demand as well as income from renting our house in NH.
