Kokila

Hi! My name is Kokila (she/her), and I’m moving to NYC to serve under City Year NYC! I’ll be working in the Bronx, so I’m looking to live either in or near this Burrough. I just graduated from University in Ohio. I will be staying in New Jersey for the month of July (I will do more in-person room-hunting during that time). I am looking to move into a place in NYC at the beginning of August!

I’m looking for a room to rent in the city while I serve. I don’t smoke, and I prefer to live with someone who does not smoke in the house (I’m asthmatic). I like to be neat and clean, so I prefer a roommate who has similar expectations. I personally am a vegetarian, but I doubt that would be a concern unless we share meals and such! :)

I’m an ambivert, so sometimes I love going out and other times I just want to stay in and recharge my social battery. I’m friendly and adaptable with different kinds of people- introverts, extroverts and everyone in between! I listen to diverse kinds of music, play video games and watch anime. I also like to play tennis and work out with others! Overall, I’m hoping to live with roommates who I can be friends with respectful boundaries and personal space.
