Description

Hello! It’s been a good run at my current place of residence (over 6 years!) but I now find myself in a position to dive back into the wonderful world of rentals and roommates. Yippeee! IS it “wonderful” though? Well, I’m a glass half full type of woman so I’m just going to go with it. Let’s see what positivity can bring my way, shall we?

I’m going to try to make this concise since I have a tendency to ramble so I’ll make some bullet points to start off with… Where I’m at and what I’m looking for, etc, then I’ll round myself out in the end with some lovely parting words :o)

First thing’s first…I’m unvaccinated and don’t plan on getting vaccinated (…for Covid, that is). I’m a total live and let live kind of person though so I celebrate your choice to be vaccinated if you are!

I’m ideally looking for a rental cap of $650/mo including at least some utilities. Month to month is okay but I’m also okay with a lease agreement. Also, ideally, King County area.

Looking for as soon as possible but definitely within the next couple of months

I’m a 46 year old, single woman and would prefer to share a quiet and clean house/apt with a woman or women around my age or older if possible or with younger people who act like 40 somethings, haha! I guess what I’m NOT looking for is to be the 46 year old lady rooming with a bunch of 20 somethings who enjoy imbibing in certain mood and mind altering substances and/or partying etc. I’ve been there! Love ya but I’m doing the old and infirmed person thing now XD. I’m open to share a house/apt with a man if it seems safe and appropriate.

My income is steady (I get Social Security Disability) every month and I’m quite capable of managing my money responsibly and paying on time. This may not reflect in my recent credit history (getting chronically ill is a bitch) but until things went south I was never late on a credit payment and even had a score in the 800’s! I’ve also never been late with rent. If you need some character and rental references I can certainly hook you up. I was pretty much the average, everyday professional young person. The very responsible variety. I still am…just not the young part XD.

I am disabled in that I am mostly homebound but am very independent (Chronic Fatigue/POTS/allergies) I don’t need anyone to take care of me or anything like that but there are certain household chores that would wipe me out. I’m lookin’ at you vacuum cleaner! That being said, I’m very clean. Always do my dishes right away and will do what I can to help with what I can. Ask me questions about this if you need more info and I’m happy to share!

Animals allergies are hit and miss. I LOVE ANIMALS! Dogs and cats and rats, etc etc but I find I’m more susceptible to cats and their allergens although I currently live with a cat that doesn’t bother me so, like I said, it’s hit or miss. To be safe I think I need a place with no cats. Dogs should be just fine.

I’m somewhat sensitive to chemicals and smoke so would need a place that is smoke free and isn’t OCD with the bleach or 409 or what have you XD.

So, a little more about me! I’m prone to hermit-hood :o) I’m very quiet and in my room a lot but that’s not to say I’m not extremely friendly as well! I’m okay with the idea of hitting it off and becoming friends and visiting and eating together etc. but I’m also totally fine with just being ships passing in the night, so to say. It would be nice not to have pressure either way and just live our lives they way that comes most natural. I’m also very big on open communication so if for whatever reason there’s an issue that needs working out I’m not one to get all quiet and moody. Respectful and honest and chill communication is where it’s at.

I’m the creative type. I’ve had art displayed at my naturopathic clinic for a few years until recently because I missed it and wanted to bring it back home XD. It’s like part of my soul and they were originals so them being out in the world was weird for me. Back in my healthy days I was very active, outdoorsy and athletic. I’m most definitely an introvert (INFJ) and not type A at all but my natural instincts are to get out and be active so living the way I do is difficult for my antsy pants but I deal! I make up for it with my second favorite thing to do which is to glom onto my next research project. Usually to do with health because of where I’m at in life but also because the inner workings of the body are such a huge interest for me. I read a lot, I play games on my Kindle, watch Youtube vids, I’m on Reddit and I have a huge love of hummingbirds. Maybe I could set up one of my feeders?

I’m super open minded and very aware and empathetic. Deep conversations about the weird and the woo woo are my favorite :o).

This is getting a bit long! I guess I’m just the type to put out what I hope to get back as far as energy and openness. You just don’t really get that on Craigslist which is too bad.

Anyways, please contact me if any of me sounds like we’d make great roommates/housemates! I look forward to talking!
