Hello, I’m a Canadian-American long-term resident of France coming to live in Tucson for about four months from early October to be near my elderly father, who lives a fiercely independent life in the Catalina Foothills ….. I’m a travel writer/journalist/editor, but now working as an editor online for a Korean newspaper so work very hard but make no noise, just typing. I’m very open-minded and have traveled and lived all over the world (about a dozen years in Asia and now 15 years in Europe). I’m super-tolerant, but I will be living a pretty low-key life, just working nights due to time difference, sleeping a bit in the day (though I can sleep through anything) and making dinner for my dad most evenings at his house. I’m quite outdoorsy/sporty, run and hike a lot, would love some outdoor space to do yoga, love love animals (will miss my dog terribly, who’ll be staying in France) …. but having lived so long in Europe, I do like a good glass of red wine but don’t smoke at all. My ideal situation would be casita or some kind of cottage, something with some character and not too boxy, not crazy about modern apartments… but i don’t mind a room in a house or cool apartment, ideally with a private bathroom, but I can share. I’m very clean and tidy, but am tolerant if others aren’t as neat as I am. Even though I haven’t lived in the States in a while I have a US SSN, a good credit score and am happy with background checks! I’m double vaccinated. That’s about it, just that I love dogs, so would also be happy to walk/run someone’s dogs for reduced rent. Please direct message me if interested!
