My work life is in healthcare; I’m an epidemiologist. My alter ego self is outside. I like a nice place to cook, rest and recover. I bike for fun and commuting. I’m a 50+, friendly, empty-nester, hetero, progressive, and open-minded.

Outside: I’ve been teaching skiing, and whitewater canoe and kayak professionally for many years - I’m an instructor trainer in both skiing and whitewater (no, it’s not rafting :). I also teach team-building, am active, clean, welcoming, conversational, (over?-)educated, love teaching - especially adventurous brains, and am good with kids…of all ages ;) I have been teaching college students whitewater for 20 years. I’m warm :)

I’m considered a great tenant by most landlords, and have been a great landlord myself. I am neat and clean and wash my dishes promptly. When I’ve been the landlord it’s been a healthy, friendly household we created. Friends say that with me, what you see is what you get - no games or politics.

I’m fully vaccinated, I work remotely. And I want the world to be a better place (don’t you?)!

I’m new to Roomies. I’m easy even fun to live with…period. My licenses, and background are squeaky clean and checked in multiple ways at work (beyond anything this website would do!). I’m opposed to paying Roomies to promote that. I’m happy to verify my background for serious roommates but not for the app. Yeah, they should make money but this part of it rubs me the wrong way. Just sayin’.
